dc.description This dataset provides R scripts illustrating the main functionalities of the BrazilCrime package. The code demonstrates how to extract, organize, visualize, and analyze public security data from the Brazilian National Public Security Information System (SINESP). The examples include data retrieval at different levels of aggregation, exploratory graphical analysis, and automated time-series forecasting based on ARIMA models. All data accessed through the scripts are publicly available and remain under the responsibility of the Brazilian National Secretariat of Public Security (SENASP). The BrazilCrime package serves solely as an interface to access and manipulate these data in R.
