This dataset contains the biochemical characterization data of MetagCut, a cutinase identified from the metagenomic analysis of plastic-degrading microbial consortia. The study is described in "Exploring the structure, functionality, and PET-degrading potential of a cutinase from a plastic-degrading microbial community", which is part of the doctoral thesis Development of microorganisms and enzymes for synthetic polymer degradation. The dataset includes raw data from enzyme activity assays using model substrates and PET, kinetic parameter measurements, thermostability profiles, pH and temperature optima, as well as HPLC data from assays using plastic-derived substrates.
