dc.description This collection contains the data and code associated with the publication "Epiphytic tank bromeliads enhance soil microbial functioning by shifting throughfall and soil bacteriome" by Tháles A. C. Pereira, C. Guilherme Becker, Shannon M. Buttimer, Kelly J. Hidalgo, Leandro N. Lemos, Valéria M. de Oliveira, Fernando Dini-Andreote, Francisco Dini-Andreote, and Gustavo Q. Romero. In this study, we used a combination of field sampling, eDNA metabarcoding analyses, soil chemical characterization, and the determination of four indicators of soil microbial functioning to investigate the impact of epiphytic tank bromeliads on throughfall and soil bacterial communities in a tropical forest.
