This record refers to the metadata associated with the doctoral thesis entitled “A Physicochemical Perspective on Fission-Track Thermochronology” (University of Campinas, 2025). The research developed a physicochemical framework to interpret fission-track annealing as a solid-state reaction, including the definition of effective reaction rate constants, a critical reassessment of the Principle of Equivalent Time (PET), and the analytical formulation of a closure temperature equation. The datasets and computational scripts used in this research are publicly available in an external trusted research data repository with persistent DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18156297.
