Data related to the analysis of ventral prostates (VPs) from Wistar rats subjected to different androgen-stimulation conditions, resulting in groups with either intact or regressing VPs. Confocal and electron microscopy, fluorescence-lifetime imaging (FLIM), mitochondrial oxygen-consumption measurements using Seahorse, and shotgun proteomics were employed in these analyses.
