Description:
In this study, we used the zebrafish PTZ-seizure model to investigate the effects of two peptides on seizure suppression: the tripeptide p-BTX-I (AminoTech) and the Cx43 peptide CX2 (PCT/EP2020/071242). Wild-type zebrafish larvae at 6 days post-fertilization were exposed to one of the peptides, according to their group, for 24 hours before PTZ-induced seizure induction. We quantified the expression of genes related to inflammation, oxidative stress, and apoptosis by RT-qPCR, using SYBR® Green Master Mix reagent (Bio-Rad) in the ABI 7500 system (Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA, USA). The runs were performed in triplicate, with eef1a1l1 used as the housekeeping gene. Additionally, we quantified seizure latency and frequency through visual observation. Here, we present the data sheet and videos used for the assessment of seizure behavior.
