This database belongs to research that aimed to evaluate the perception of discomfort in hands in controlled activities with three different types of products in some versions: two manual wheelchair propulsion handrim models (A and B), three pruning shears models (A, B, and C), and two soda bottle models (A and B). Therefore, we adopted a hand mapping (division into different regions) form to detect which parts would be signalized with discomfort and then measure this subjective variable. In the data gathering, 90 male participants, between 18 and 29 years old, participated in the current research. The inclusion criterion was the absence of musculoskeletal symptoms in the upper limbs in the 12 months before the experiment, in addition to the need to be right-handed for activities carried out with pruning shears and soda bottles.
